Join SSSO for a Winter warming concert at the Historic Notre Dame Drill Hall under the baton of Laurissa Wyllie-McCarthy, SSSO’s newly appointed Music Director.
The program is inspired by the history of the Drill Hall where troops, destined for Gallipoli, assembled before marching to Fremantle Harbour to board the awaiting troop ships in November 1914.
The program features Isabelle Chen – violin soloist performing Massenet’s Meditation from Thais. There’s also Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man, Somerset Rhapsody by Holst, Folk Song Suite, and Liberty Bell by the March King, to mention just a few.
